Ta ta ta tan, ta ta ta tan

Las bodas siempre son algo bonito pero cuando los novios forman parte de tu vida de una manera especial ese día se convierte en un cúmulo de emociones que pasarán a formar parte de nuestros recuerdos más gratos.

Hace ya dos semanitas se casó Inés, una de mis mejores amigas. Conociéndola sabía que tanto la ceremonia como la celebración iban a estar cuidadas hasta el último detalle pero mi imaginación no alcanzó a vislumbrar la realidad que la superó con creces. Por tanto, por todo su esfuerzo y dedicación a las personas que estábamos allí le quiero dedicar este post a los novios y decirles: " ¡Qué seais muy felices!"

Weddings are always beautiful but when the bride and the groom are part of your life in a special way, that day becomes a whole set of emotions that will belong to your most pleasant memories forever.

Two weeks ago, one of my best friends got married. I knew that everything had been paid attention to the extreme but my mind couldn´t glimpse so much perfection. That´s why, for all their effort and commitment to the guests there, I want to dedicate this post to the bride and groom and say: "Be happy together!"

Estilo masculino para las mujeres/ masculine style for women

 

¿Qué os parece el estilo masculino en las mujeres?  Muchas son las famosas que se han sumado a esta moda. Tanto Katie Holmes como Kylie Minogue y Victoria Beckham  parece que le han cogido el punto a los  "boyfriend jeans" con resultados muy atractivos. Grandes marcas de diseño como Loewe, Gucci o Calvin Klein también apuestan por esta tendencia. Y, la verdad, que con un par de complementos; unos tirantes, un bonito sombrero o una corbata se puede crear un estilismo totalmente actual y sexy. 
Sólo hay que ver el look que Virginia  (sketch)  ha conseguido  cogiéndole prestado los tirantes a su chico Pablo. No he podido resistirme a ilustrarlo.

What do you think about the masculine style for women? Many celebrities like Katie Holmes, Kylie Minogue or Victoria Beckham have decided to follow the trend and they are already addict to the famous "boyfriend jeans". Also important firms such as Loewe, Gucci or Calvin Klein are seriously going for this look.  And it is so easy to achieve! Only a nice hat, a tie or a pair of suspenders can make you shine in  complete up to the minute and sexy clothes.
When I saw Virginia in this outfit I couldn´t let it go and I decided to draw it.

Es increible la oportunidad que este proyecto me está dando de conocer otros blogs y a las personas que están detrás de ellos. Cada uno con sus diseños, sus ilustraciones, sus ideas DIY, sus fotografías, sus textos, sus comentarios, etc. son una fuente inagotable de inspiración y enriquecimiento personal a los que estoy realmente agradecida. Happy Halloween

 

 

Desde hace varios años en España también se celebra Halloween pero su orígen tiene lugar en Irlanda.  Los Druídas creían que durante la noche del 31 de octubre los límites entre el mundo de los vivos y los muertos desaparecían completamente y que los espíritus de los muertos venían de otro mundo a llevarse consigo a los vivos. Con el fin de ahuyentar a los malos espíritus, los druidas encendían fogatas y la gente dejaba dulces o comida a la puerta de sus casas pensando que así los difuntos se irían contentos y les dejarían tranquilos. Para aquellas gentes, la noche de 31 de octubre abría el largo y crudo invierno por el que vagaban perdidos los fantasmas de los muertos  hasta la llegada de la primavera cuando los días se hacían más largos y las tinieblas menguaban.

 

Yo no celebro esta fiesta en mi casa ya que no he crecido con esta tradición pero, aún así me ha inspirado esta ilustración. Espero que os guste.

From some years ago, Halloween is also celebrated in Spain but its origins are Irish. The Druids thought that during the night of October 31, the door to the other world opened and the souls of the dead came to our world. To ward-off the harmful spirits, the Druids lit bonfires and the peoples left sweets and food outside the windows so that the spirits were happy and left them alone. For the Celts, this night marked the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter or the "darker half' of the year". In this darkness the spirits wandered until the days became longer again with the arrival of the spring.

 

 I don´t celebrate this party at home since I haven´t grown up with this tradition, even though it has inspired this sketch. I hope you like it.

Lluvia

¡Por fin ha llegado la lluvia! Se ha hecho esperar esta vez. Ha sido un año  duro para nuestras reservas de agua ya que 2012 se ha convertido en el año en el que los pluviómetros han recogido menos cantidad de agua de lluvia desde 1989. Los campos también lo han notado sobremanera y la enorme sequía ha afectado muy negativamente a las cosechas y, por supuesto, a aquellos que viven de ellas. Pero ¡aquí está! y yo quería dedicarle una ilustración. Espero que os guste.

At last the rain has come! It took it long to show up this time. It has been a hard year for our reservoirs and 2012 has turned into the year in which pluviometers have collected the less amount of rainwater in Spain since 1989. Crops have been tremendouly affected and farmers´ economy have suffered enormously. But, here it is! And I wanted to dedicate it an illustration. I hope you like it.

Pinceladas de mi vida

 

 

Hoy me gustaría compartir con tod@s vosotros algunos detalles de mi vida que me hacen feliz y ocupan gran parte de mi tiempo libre.

 

Uno es la música. ¡Me encanta! En casa tenemos una pequeña colección de guitarras y algún que otro instrumento más y, de vez en cuando, me da por agarrarme a alguno de ellos. Está claro que no es lo mío pero yo me lo paso bien y eso es lo que importa, ¿verdad?. También escucho mucha música y ahí es donde me gustaría hablaros de dos bandas muy especiales para mi: una es Matiné y la otra es Vikxie. Se trata de grandes amigos con un talento increible. Recomendados quedan.

 

Sabido es de tod@s  otro de mis entretenimientos: la moda. No tengo mucho tiempo para ir de compras pero ni decir tengo que lo hago siempre que puedo. Adoro los desfiles de alta costura y, por supuesto, amo a Dior. Nada que añadir en cuanto a mi pasión por ilustrar todo aquello que se pone ante mis ojos.

 

Y para terminar, ¿qué haría yo sin mi blog y sin mis ilustraciones? y por extensión ¿qué haría yo sin vuestros blogs? Muchas gracias a tod@s por vuestras publicaciones que día tras día inspiran mi trabajo.

Today I would like to share with all of you some important details of my life that make me happy and keep me busy a good part of the time.

One of them is music. I love it! We have a little collection of guitars and some other instruments at home and, from now and then, I grab one of them.  I know I am not very talented but I have fun and that´s what matters , isn´t it? I also listen to music all the time. In this point I would like to talk to you about two special bands: Matiné and Vikxie. They are really good friends with an amazing talent. Highly recommended!

It is well-known my love for fashion. I don´t have much time to go shopping but, of course, I go every time I can. I adore the haute couture shows and, obviously I am in love with Dior. It is not necessary to talk about my passion for fashion sketching, right?

Finally, what could I do without my blog and my sketches? And so, what could I do without your blogs? I would like to thank you all for your entries that day after day inspire my work.
